man I thought there were some homers on this board.... everyone on that board has their lips fully entrentched around Mike Nolan's c0ck

they are so enamored with the idea of winning the battle in the trenches that they forget to remember that the Niners cant score any facking points

Not really trying to defend Mike Nolan but McCloughan is the one scouting the prospects and deciding who to draft for the most part, at least this year. Most of what I have heard and read has stated that was the case. I'm sure Nolan has had plenty of input, but it sounds as if McCloughan is doing the legwork on the draft.

maybe im just negative, who knows but none of the guys they drafted makes you say WOW

Balmer only had 4.5 sacks last season and three of em were against East Carolina

instead of drafting Hawkins or Burton in the 4th round, they draft a facking project center?

and where is the guy who will rush the passer?

I'm fairly distraught over the fact that the Niners drafted a guy from Virginia Tech.

Have they learned nothing from the Jim Drunkenraper saga?

Don't. Draft. Hokies.

I liked the draft, with the exception of the VT WR...there were better WR's to be had, don't understand what they see in him...hope I'm wrong.

I think Balmer just flat out fell to us, they didn't think he'd be there, and when he was, it was a no brainer. A freak who needs some higher level coaching. I think Chilo Rachal was the best pick of the draft, a real mean & big OG who can also play tackle...and after losing Smiley, possibly Allen, and a newly injured Baas, this was a good pick. Smith from OU was the type of pick I expected for the 4th, a DB who can play CB or FS...expect him to play FS for us. Wallace was a tad high of a pick, but seeing as we lost our 5th I think the 49ers just pulled the trigger here...trading back a tad would have been the best move.

It's not a very sexy draft, but it is a very needs based draft.

That's OK irish, the Niners play East Carolina twice each year. Except on Sunday, they are called the Cardinals and they play in Arizona.

Ballmer may not get his sacks, but he will take on enough O linemen to free up the greatest linebacker in the NFL - Patrick Willis - to get his.

usc trojans > sf 49ers.

not really in real life, but, hey the niners suck, and will continue to suck unless alex smith becomes drew brees (turns into good qb after 3 years of suckitude).

hey scott mccloughan, if you need someone to act scared and make ****ty passes for 500k per season, thehed is available. just thought i'd throw that out there...
