Fack.

3 year, 50M too much.

The team will still struggle for .500.

GB has said it's not finalized yet....but is close.

I agree with Bhaakon, but at least it's not at $20M a year.

Re: According to GB, Zito to SF

I could swallow 20M a year on a 4-year deal, it's the length that kills me.

I could see Zito being a solid #2 for 4-5 more seasons, but EIGHT? Sick curve or no, he can't lose much more fastball and remain a top fo the rotation starter. He's virtually guaranteed to be deadweight by the end of that deal. And that's ignoring the standard pitcher injury caveats.

I am going to try to block out the money thing, and just appreciate what the rotation looks like. It should be pretty solid.

I hope there's a difibulator near SHK this morning.

Brute I haven't seen this published anywhere yet. You should get permission from GB to scoop it.

I wonder if Lowry will be dealt now. I wouldn't do it. I'd wait out next years FA crop for the bat we need, but Sabean could be thinking about it.

If Bonds is healthy this year, which is highly unlikely, this is a contending NL West team.

So Zito thinks the Giants are committed to winning titles. Overall, that doesn't bode well. It means Zito is gullible.

Or it could mean that Magowan and Sabean got a clue. Hm. We'll see.
