Merkin on Merkin

Well lets see
I will be vague to protect identity

My best friend at work, whom I have worked with 5 years put in her 2 weeks notice yesterday.

Im also her boss, so NOW I have to replace her
Gonna miss her daily friendship, although I know we will ne in touch

SHE WAS ****ING GOOD at her job
There are over 100 ppl there.
If I made of list of hardest to replace, She would be at the top.

She is moving on to "greener" pastures, and I wish her the best.

OK
Day 9, and still sick
Everyone at work is sick
I really want to go to the game on Monday, so Im laying low all weekend and trying to get as much rest as possible...
Only been to two regular season games so far this year because of rain.. and we got a LONG home stand coming up.. need to make 5+ games!!!

Work is good, business is humming.
We are reorganizing the ppl and space.. and I guess im in charge..
Really kinda surreal being in my job... My ideas often become reality, and I actually have some good ideas....
People at work are really improving... I am really proud of almost everyone there...
This is a HUGE year for us.. If we can pull off this expansion, then the world is our oyster... we would grow about 50% this year.... and would have the ability to triple in a year or two....

 emoticon

Lets see.. thats all for now.. maybe too much

Talk to ya all later......
Merk

Re: Merkin on Merkin

Well its a weird week.
My step dads Birthday
and the 12th anniversary of my Biological dad's Passing On.
Yup, on the Same day...

So gonna play golf with Dad, and grab something to eat.
See him next week for Mothers dad too =)
Maybe see if I can get him out to a game soon.
Him and my older brother are most of the reason I am a baseball adict.
My Bro cant make it out to play golf, because HIS kid is playing baseball today.
Funny how things propigate through generations.

And then there was biological dad
Whom I know I have many traits both in my physical appearance and in my personality.
Actually its kinda creepy.
I'm still pissed at him for leaving so young.
And for not knowing me as a full fledged adult. And also for not being able to throw a baseball. Oh well, hope he is in peace...

bought some lottery tix on the way home from the park in San Diego on Friday
DOnt buy that often, but friends were buying so...

didnt check numbers until LATE last night

Actually hit 4 of 5 numbers and the bonus number

good for $1700

the difference in odds between $1700 and $100 mil

200 to 1

freaking weird....

OK, my laptop took a crap....

I usually can surf the web and sit on the couch in the living room.
The good news is its just the monitor and I have the damn thing networked, so I can get to all my files...

Or course fixing a laptop monitor would probably almost as much as buying a new laptop....

Oh well, got 2 1/2 years use out of the damn thing......

My laptop monitor is broken, the sides are blown out, and all the wires are showing, I get shocked sometimes trying to fix it, but it just keeps running...

Good luck with yours....

So the monitor is running??? or dead???

I jacked the monitor off my desktop and have it set up on the coffee table...

Went into my garage and got an old 15 inch thats from like 1996 and hooked it up to my desk top.....

went to the dell site and picked up a laptop(which is cheaper than getting this thing fixed....and this thing is too heavy anyways... was time for an upgrade emoticon
