That's a montage. The plane that lost its wing was an RC. "Real" airplanes don't have the power-to-weight ratio to pull off a razor like that.

Nah - I have a friend who is crazy about RC planes (and is a pilot, as well) as he somehow talks me into going out with him every now and then - generally at lunchtime, since we drive by a decent deli, and I get a Po' boy and watch him fly. He does **** like that all the time (generally with both wings) and it isn't easy to pull it off.

I don't know what happened. I used the 'insert link' button. Next time I'll just cut-n-paste.
As to the video, it's still cool.

that's pretty good.

Still, one of my favorite screen shots of a news broadcast:

Followup to the "keeping names short" story above ...

When I first saw the story below, I thought it must be from Tempe, Arizona. But it turns out the guys lives in England.

Call me Captain Fantastic, please
November 4, 2008 1:14 PM

A UK teenager has officially changed his name to 'Captain Fantastic Faster Than Superman Spiderman Batman Wolverine The Hulk And The Flash Combined.'

Formerly known as George Garratt, Captain Fantastic has registered his new name with deed poll ... though most people still call him twat.

The 19-year-old music student from Glastonbury (that could explain a lot) said he decided to include several superheroes after asking his friends for suggestions.

Captain Fantastic is now legally entitled to use his name on bank accounts and his passport, but says family members refuse to use his new name, his gran has stopped speaking to him altogether.

With 81 characters he should take the Guinness World Record as being the longest name. The former record holder was Rhoshandiatellyneshiaunneveshenk Koyaanisquatsiuth Williams, with 57 letters (if I typed it right).
