I still have a strong dislike for him dating back to the horrible call against the Dodgers in '97. I believe it was Mark Lewis he called out for leaving early from third on a foul pop behind third. Bastage had his back to the play and didn't even see if Lewis had left early or not which subsequent replays proved he had not. That was the game where the Giants scored 6 or 7 runs in the top of the 9th to win. It was pretty obvious on that call that Hernandez was too proud to admit he didn't see the whole play and then ask for help.
