Baer to become team president
William Neukom to take Magowan's place, but Baer will be promoted to team president. Not exactly sure what that means with Neukom, especially since Magowan will still have an ownership stake.

I don't know but it means that this guy may be a total tool. If Osama Bin Laden took over the team would it bother you?
What makes you think this guy will be as good or better than Magowan? The fact that he doesn't even live in the state isn't a good sign to me.
I like Baer though.

I think this whole Magowan retirement has to do with the Bonds/PED and Zito signing. Clearly 2 huge things he is responsible for at the end. I dont buy one bit of him quitting to "spend time with his family" and moving up to St Helena or wherever it is.
This guy poured his guts on the line to build the park and keep the Giants in SF.
Bet the owners are pushing him out.
