Outrageous trade prosposals
need to stop.
I have never understood why people throw out trade proposals in the first place. There are about 750 players in the majors and thousands more in the minors. What are the ****ing odds you are going to guess exactly the right players that could be traded??? None!!! So why the **** would you throw out a trade proposal? Just makes everyone on this board who does seem like they are about 12, in some cases, it makes people seem like they have downs snydrome (Supraman)
1. The Rockies are not going to trade Matt Holliday to the Giants. For ANYONE
2. The Angels are not going to trade a solid all around young hitter in Casey Kotchman who they have control of for at least 3 more years after this for a catcher they don't need and already had before.
3. The Yankees are not going to give away their best prospects for our trash just in hopes of a last ditch push this year. They need pitching much more than hitting anyways, so there is no reason you could possibly concoct in which they are going to give up Jose Tabata for Randy Winn.
4. The Marlins aren't going to trade Hanley Ramirez.
5. The Giants aren't going to be getting any prospects that even sniff the top 300, so stop pretending that they will.
The best trades are the ones no one sees coming and would never be able to predict. (Watson for Snow, Rios for Schmidt, etc.) Sitting at home thinking of trade proposals is more of a waste of time than playing world of warcraft, and that's saying something. Rant over.

I don;t mind the trade talk too much but regarding Holliday, I think the Rockies will try to move him aggressively but I also think that most GMs realize that his OPS on the road for his career is under .800 and 300 points lower than it is at home.
I hope I didn't offend JFS by referencing OPS.
