Matt Cain, RHP (9-1, 2.28)

Giants: Cain allowed just one run over eight innings against the Texas Rangers Saturday but came up empty in the 'W' column. He has 17 strikeouts in his last two outings, compared with just three walks. Cain last pitched against the Milwaukee Brewers on April 9, when he allowed one run in seven innings and picked up the win.

Yovani Gallardo, RHP (7-4, 3.00)

Brewers: Gallardo pitched seven solid innings against the Tigers on Sunday, but was burned by one bad pitch, a hanging slider to Brandon Inge that Inge deposited in the left-field seats for a decisive, three-run home run. The Tigers managed just six other hits -- all singles -- off Gallardo in his best start since he worked eight shutout innings in Atlanta on June 5. He hit a three-run home run of his own to beat Randy Johnson and the Giants on April 8 at AT&T Park and will be facing San Francisco for the fourth time in his career. He made his Major League debut against them on June 18, 2007, pitching 6 1/3 innings for a win.

One of the better looking Giants lineups that I have seen in a bit....Just glad that Lewis and Aurilia aren't playing.....yet...

I agree, it's almost mediocre.

Travis Ishikawa is NOT a competent first baseman.
