You tell yourself, "it's just one game" and "every closer blows one every now and again."

But why does it seem like Wilson only blows them when the Giants scrap and fight to get the lead?

It seems like he never blows them in a boring games where the Giants lead early and nothing exciting happens. It's only when their are heroics to be canceled out.

I'm sure it's not like that most times, it just feels that way.

Not a bad WHIP
Not a bad ERA
Tied for the lead for saves

I can't see wishing for a change to someone like Benitez, Hermanson or Worrell.

Perspective is key. The Giants have a pretty good closer on the cheap.

This is the life of the closer.

He pitches great for 2 weeks, finally blows one and suddenly "he sucks". Yes it is frustrating but Wilson is a good closer and will only get better with more experience.

Don't lump Benitez in with Hermanson or Worrell.

Actually, I don't see Wilson as any more accomplished than either of them so far.

We should thank for him that BS wasn't in the Timmy or Cain's game.

I agree with bhaakon, Worrell was a pretty solid closer in his tenure with the Giants and I dont recall him blowing many 2-3 run leads

what really irritates me about Wilson is the walks.... the guy has a million dollar arm and a 10 cent head

you need to buckle down and get Matt Gamel out.... challenge the ****er you throw it 99 MPH!!!

Right, because you don't watch the games. How could you see?
