Wow....road trip from hell? turning into heaven???
3 months down, 3 months to go and the Giants are getting hot.....peaking too soon? or are better days ahead.....
The way they are playing, and the way the wild card and division is shaping up you HAVE to believe that the Giants will make a move this month.....Holliday? VMart? Dye? or maybe someone else? Maybe a lesser hitter? You KNOW they are going to tap that minor league talent to appease the fan base/ season ticket holders......
So what do you think the end result will be? Could the Giants ride this pitching all the way???? Where do you see this feel good ride ending???? Does our imagination get ahead of us here????

This is a tough call because if they make it which I think is still a long shot, they could do extremely well in the playoffs with a 4 man rotation of Lincecum, Johnson, Cain and Zito.

Call it over exuberance, but if the Giants can add Vmart or Holliday....and if Nate does decent and Renteria Winn and Molina return to career norms.....they could go a long way
That 4 man rotation, added to Romo Affeldt Wilson and maybe a rejuvenated reliever Sanchez.....even Howry and Velez have pitched well at times.....
Heck, Wilson might just be the weakest link, he is awful streaky
And yes, thats alot of "IFS"
If they can keep this up another month, then I start saving for playoff tickets

I hate the "playoffs is a craps shot", but **** you gotta think with our pitching, getting in is the hard part. Once in we can pull out the 2-1 win needed to win.

I agree with that scenario. I can't name one team in the NL right now that could beat Lincecum and Cain, and I don't think teams in the AL have seen the two enough, to prepare. Sure they have video, but nothing is like facing the real thing. I would pitching Tim and Matt on the Road, with RJ and Zito pitching at AT&T (They pitch way better at home).

When Manny comes back it will be a distraction for that team, and it could be to a point that the Dodgers even sit him some games. Now that Manny has been EXPOSED I would not be surprised to see a David Ortiz-like slump for him to start.

I was just going to post that! It is nice. I am cussing at my tv alot less this season, and it has been fun watching The Giants so far. If they can keep this up, we might see them in the post season. Remember winning cures all.
