Game #77 - Cainer vs the RedBirds - Wed 7/1- 5:15 PM
Courtesy of Baggs:
Unrelated to todays game, but Houston adjusted its rotation, meaning Tim Lincecum will not oppose Roy Oswalt on Saturday. Former Giant Russ Ortiz goes against Timmy instead, with Oswalt against the Big Unit on Sunday at ATT.
Same lineup today. Worked pretty good yesterday, huh?
CF Rowand
LF Winn
3B Sandoval
C Molina
RF Schierholtz
SS Renteria
1B Ishikawa
2B Uribe
P Cain

Anyone else surprisingly satisfied with Uribe?
I was pissed when Sabean signed him, but he's been a good insurance policy on Burris and Franny.

Very satisfied with him as a utility player.
I see no need for Aurugula to take up a roster spot any longer. Downs and Uribe work well enough (compared to Aurugula) until better can be had.
I loved Richie for his former contributions but he's an old hag that won't stop following us around now.

Agree on all above points.
Looking forward to Cain and Sandoval bolstering their All Star credentials on national TV.

But Uribe is batting something like .80-.90 points higher than downs. And the fact the Uribe has experience makes him a favorite to play 2nd. We could do worse. I say stick him there and see what happens

Cain, please don't try to be macho with Al. Just walk him, and dominate everyone else.
