Pork Chops with Cheesey Hash Brown Potatoes
I made this dish last night. I am listing the original recipe with some minor changes that I made. It turned out wonderful so thought I would share.
PORK CHOPS W/ CHEESY HASH BROWN POTATOES
6 boneless pork chops
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced (I leave the garlic out and use a tad of garlic salt instead)
10 ounce can condensed cream of mushroom soup
½ cup milk
1 cup sour cream
30 ounce package frozen hash brown potatoes (This recipe called for the frozen hash brown potatoes. I used the pound package of refrigerated ones that you find in the dairy section of the grocery store)
1 ½ cups shredded baby Swiss cheese (I used chedder instead)
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
In a large skillet, brown pork chops in 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium heat, turning once to brown; set aside.
Add onions and garlic to pan and cook and stir over medium heat until crisp tender.
Add condensed soup and milk; cook and stir until bubbly. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream.
In a 13” by 9” glass baking dish, combine potatoes and grated cheeses and toss to mix.
Add the soup/onion mixture and stir to combine.
Place the browned pork chops on top.

This sounds really awesome, and I would love to try making it for my b/f and I. But got a question, How long do you bake it for?

Re: Pork Chops with Cheesey Hash Brown Potatoes
I guess I forgot to put that part. It seems like it was around 35 to 40 minutes. You will see the cheese and potatoes getting brown around the edges and you will know it is done.
