Pink Stuff - My Family's Fav Desert!
Mom (Lady V) makes this for special occasions... Yummy!
Warning: You MUST like cottage cheese!
Pink Stuff (Yes, that's the name)
1 large carton of cottage cheese (some use small I like large curd)
1 large Cool Whip
1 package (large) Strawberry Jello Mix (or your preferred flavor)
1 small can of mandarin oranges
1 small can of mixed fruit
1 small jar of maraschino cherries
Rinse the cottage cheese lightly (only leaving the curd). Lightly mix cottage cheese and Cool Whip together. Add the jello mix to the blend. Once the jello is well blended (no lumps) add the half the oranges and all the mixed fruit. Garnish with cherries and remaining oranges.
Place in refrigerator for approx. 20-30 min then serve - Keep Pink Stuff Cooled!
Mom has been known to toss in a little food coloring... especially around Samhain to give the kiddos "Green (Stuff) Goo"

Hmmm.. Mom does make a taco dip, but I don't have the recipe. I'll ask her next time she's around

I wonder if ricotta cheese would work in place of the cottage cheese.
The recipe sounds yummy and I do like cottage cheese. LOL

I don't know if ricotta would work or not... hmmmm.
When I say you have to like cottage cheese... well, the cottage cheese taste isn't really there, only the texture.
