CANDLEMAS RECIPE
This recipe will work well for magical powders, sachets, bath salts, potpourris, incenses and oils. This recipe is not designed for human consumption. Let your nose be the judge when deciding upon ingredient proportions. This brings your personality into play and makes the blend your own.
For powders, finely grind the herbs together and add them to unscented talc or cornstarch.
Coarsely grind the ingredients for sachets and both dry and simmering potpourris. You may wish to add some essential oils of the herbs listed in the recipe to keep the scents strong in sachets and dry potpourri mixtures.
To make bath salts, fill a plastic bag or jar with rock or pickling salt. Add oils and/or herbs and give it a good shake. Toss a handful into running bath water.
Burn incense mixtures in their pure forms on charcoal blocks or mix with sawdust for a self-burning product. If you wish to add some “pop and sizzle” to your incenses, toss a pinch of saltpeter (potassium nitrate) in the mixture. It is available at most pharmacies and makes each incense burning a magical event.
Though this is a terrific recipe for Imbolc celebrations, it also works well for blessing candles and health fires. Used for house-warming celebrations, it imbues the dwelling with a joyful, welcome feeling.

Re: CANDLEMAS RECIPE
I always have cornstarch so I tried your potpourris and they smell so good! I've got one in each of my dresser drawers and I keep opening them to smell them. Thank you!
