Is it any worse than an American doctor who schedules you for an appointment in his or her office, then has you sit there for 3 hours past the appointment time until you're seen?

Oh, and CL, ditto what Hit said. I think you missed the point that the government would pick up what would normally be the employer portion for people whose employers don't provide healthcare or who are self-employed.

Oh I understand that's how it SHOULD work, I just don't hold out any optimism that it actually WILL work. This is the government after all...when the hell do they ever do anything the right way? emoticon

Waiting 7 months for a biopsy is definitely scary but everything that I've heard from Canadians I know is that their health care system is great. It certainly seems to work better than ours.

While I agree the Gov usually screws up I have not heard any complaints from the seniors on medicaid, have you? In fact I keep hearing them scream "Dont touch my medicaid", why is that?
