Al Gore won it in 2007. I admit I have no idea who won it last year.
What does that have to do with Obama being awarded a prize that he did NOTHING to deserve?
I'm not blaming him for being awarded...I lay that on the Nobel people...but I don't see any reason why we, as Americans, should be PROUD of his recieving an award for no good reason. At best, it SHOULD be making us scratch our heads, at worst it should be a source of shame.
And Reese, I don't give a **** whether any politican said it publicly, the lack of respect for President Bush was BLATANT. And had the entire Senate and House said it pubilcly you know damn well you would have APPLAUDED them for it because YOU don't agree with the man's policies...just like you're accusing us of agreeing with the criticism of Obama because we don't agree with him. I just think people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Thats my point, you dont know who won last year, or the year before Gore, so its not really such an important award to you is it? What did Gore do? He did his Global warming thing, did he "deserve" it? I dont know, I dont know WTF the award is supposed to be about, is it about someone who makes peace or stops war? Is it an idealistic award on someone who may help world relations? Why the big ****ing deal by you ladies? I have better things to do than "Scratch my head" over some award. Im concerned about health care and the economy, not some stupid award that 95 percent of Americans have already forgotten about, its just you and the Rush Limp****s who are acting like a pit bull over something so stupid. We should be ashamed he won an award? That is just plain silly and shows the level of hate against this man. You spit on him when he offered an olive branch to the World to try to distance himself from the Bush policies and now you scream to the streets when he is applauded for his efforts. If Obama farts you probably claim he is adding to Global warming right?
And one more point, go check your facts, Bush was APPLAUDED and had the world in his hands in 2001, it was HIS moronic policy that eroded that approval, he was bashed after year 5, AFTER he showed what a buffoon he really was. He was not bashed in the first 6 months. And if anyone, ANYONE disrespected him in the same way I would have been to use your word.. ASHAMED.
You CLAIM the lack of respect for Bush was blatant but cannot back that up with one single fact, as LBR requested. Show one, just one instance of a member of Congress publicly disrespecting Bush, but I know you wont, because you cant, because it never happened.
--- 2009, it just keeps getting better and better. Just ask David Wright..

Ah, we get concession of the truth at last. The Democrats proved themselves to be gentleman and respectful of the office, unlike the Republicans.
Regarding humiliating comments and reactions, there's a time and a place for them, but public forums are not it. I'm sure at every ****tail party every Democrat was equally vicious in his/her criticism of the former President, but they showed the class and decorum to do so PRIVATELY and not to embarrass themselves and disrespect the office in public.
Had someone said something like that in public I admit I would have laughed, but I would have quickly followed it up with "But he shouldn't have said it there."
Oh, and I'll toss you a bone for a Democrat publicly saying something against George W. Bush. New York's Charlie Rangel was once quoted as saying, "Well, I really think that he shatters the myth of white supremacy once and for all; it shows that, in this great country, anybody can become president."
Of course, he did not say that in Congress. He said it to the media, in this case, New York Public Television WLIW21.
--- George W. Bush, when told that Idaho Sen. Larry Craig had been the latest GOPer to be caught in a sex scandal involving boys or men: "What is up with all these Republicans?"

Um, pit bulls? Excuse me, but if anyone is over-reacting here, it's you kool-aid drinking Obama worshippers. YOUR the ones insisting the rest of us be proud of Obama's winning the Nobel Prize. I was simply stating the fact that I don't think it's anything to be proud of.
Again, I don't see what any other recipient of the award has to do with this. YOUR the ones who are so freaking anxious to bow down and kiss the man's feet that you're ready to write off the significance of the Nobel Peace Prize rather than admit that the man was awarded it for NO GOOD REASON.
Sorry guys, but it's a simple fact. You can try and hide it in all the "everyone is disrespecting Obama" rhetoric you want, but it is what it is.
Frankly, I don't give a **** one way or the other, I just found it laughable how quick you two were to jump on everyone else and how neither of you will admit that the man didn't deserve the recognition.
But WE'RE the "rampant pit bulls"....right.
