I just thought it was slow and overdone. Not even a good looking Hugh Jackson could keep my interest.

Oh Hugh was definitely worth the watching, that's for sure. That outback shower scene alone was worth it!

That's the difference in us I guess. I can't watch a movie soley cause an actor is good looking. I watch for the movie and the story.

I never said I watched SOLELY because Hugh was good looking...I loved the story line myself, Hugh was just an extra added bonus.

Re: Last movie you watched?
I'm with SUE...I'm glad that Hugh was in it....he was definitely the "icing" on that cake.
But I found the storyline incredible. I loved how they wove the Aboriginals and they're culture into the whole story..I found that most amazing. I thought the acting by many locals (unknowns, especially Brandon Walters (Nullah)) was fantastic...and to be honest I'm not the biggest fan of Nicole Kidman, but I thought this part was PERFECT!
The historical facts...though played up for the movie were mostly accurate, and the fact that they used so many "real" places:
Kununurra, meaning ‘big water’ in the local Indigenous language, is the eastern gateway to the ancient landscape that is the Kimberley.
****burn Range Shaped like a vast round fortress and rising more than 600 metres above the plains, the range is best viewed at dawn and dusk when the light reflects on the rock to create a beautiful pink-orange glow.
Faraway Downs Homestead - Carlton Hill Station
The mythical Faraway Downs Homestead - the cattle station that Lady Ashley inherits in ‘Australia’ after the death of her husband shortly after she arrives in Australia - is an actual structure which was built on Carlton Hill Station in front of the majestic House Roof Hill.
Although not currently available for public access, visitors wishing to see the stunning scenery which surrounds the homestead and is featured in the movie, can visit the nearby Macka’s Barra Camp.
Macka runs a popular Barramundi fishing company - notorious for catching the big one metre plus sized fish. Extended tours with Macka’s Barra Camp use Carlton Hill Station as their overnight camp.
Macka also played host to some of the cast and crew during filming of Australia.
Just all in all, an awe inspiring movie, but that is just my opinion..
