I'm actually curious to see how George Lopez and Wanda Sykes do with their talk shows. They have the potential to be a bit edgier than the pablum that comes on after the news.

Sykes is annoying, but is any talk show host more annoying than Conan O'Brian or that guy that has been on HBO for like 20 years, Bill Maher...the cable company forced me to upgrade to an HBO package this year, and I forgot just how badly HBO blows...why am I paying extra for a bunch of series and talkshows, and when that crap isn't filling the lineup, they have the same 5 old movies on repeatedly...

Agreed on Conan and Maher. I used to like Bill Maher at one point but I lost all respect for him when he mocked Steve Irwin's death. Fortunately, I don't get HBO so I don't have to put up with his crap.

I like Maher, but this is the wrong time of year to get HBO, try back when True Blood, Entourage and Hung return... otherwise I agree, the movies suck, and unless you like Cathouse, which I could go visit if I really cared, or 5 year old real sex, not much is doing there.

What, no love for "Bored to Death", "Curb Your Enthusiasm" or "Entourage"?

"Bored to Death" is easily the best thing they've created in awhile -- much better than Hung, though without the skin.

I don't know...but consider me crazy...I thought that the whole purpose behind paying extra for a "movie" channel, was to watch MOVIES, not to pay for stupid tv series that aren't that much different than what I could find on NBC, ABC or CBS at 10pm every night...

And what is with the obsession with that old, stupid grey haired balding guy on Curb your enthusiasm?
