Sue - Agreed on Castiel... Looks amazing (who was the actor again?) but seems really cold somehow. He might care but he never shows any emotion which is what angels are meant to do, I suppose.

Not sure if I would call Ruby a "baddie", but yes Meg rocked as one.

It's Misha Collins who plays Castiel and I think he does a great job of it. I think the whole point is that angels are supposed to be removed emotionally...they aren't actually human, but the angels in SN seem to be struggling within themselves which makes them very similar to humans.

And I know you have a soft spot for Ruby, Mel, but she's still a demon...and I still don't trust her motives...so in my book she's a baddie.

Yes, she is a demon and I am not denying that her motives are not that great. However the angels don't have fantastic motives and yet no one calls them baddies. I just think she was good for Sam at the time and although she may be doing it for her own reasons, she did help him through a time when no one else could help.

Thank you. I agree that he is meant to be un-emotional (is that even a word) but it doesn't make me have any feelings towards him at all. He means nothing to me.

It's a difference of perception...the angels are fighting on the side of good, regardless of their individual approaches, so they are naturally considered "good" and the demons are fighting on the side of evil so they are considered "bad".

I'll grant you, at least in the case of Uriel I'd consider him less than a true "good guy" because he's not doing the right thing most of the time.

Castiel is struggling with right and wrong and I don't think that makes him "bad", just flawed. Actually, I think he's a lot like Dean...a basically good guy (or angel, in Cas' case) who occassionally does the wrong thing. Like Sam too, for that matter.

Ruby, on the other hand, even though she may have done some good for Sam is working from evil motives so I still consider her basically "bad".

Does that make any sense?

I see your point and agree with you. I woudn't necessarily put Ruby in with the baddies....yeah she IS a demon but she has risked her neck on more than one occasion for Sam.....her motives are what's flawed. And Lord knows, I hate liars.

I liked the first Ruby better than the second...Katie just pulled it off better to me.

Meg...definitely the best baddie...and not only for the name LOL.

Then there's Castiel...Misha is awesome for the way he portrays him...and those eyes are just BLUE...GUH. I follow him on Twitter and he definitely appeases his fans w/his goofy ass tweets...they are insane but his "minions" (including me) love them. He follows right along w/the craziness and takes it in stride, which is what makes him awesome emoticon
