Season Five - Episode 6 - I beleive that Children are our Future
Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate a series of odd murders that strangely resemble fairytales and urban legends. The brothers track down an 11-year-old boy named Jesse (guest star Gattlin Griffith) and realize that whatever Jesse believes is coming true. Castiel (Misha Collins) tells Sam and Dean that Jesse is a serious threat and needs to be eliminated. Charles Beeson directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb & Daniel Loflin.

Um ok...looks like they're taking the fairy tale thing from Season 3 and blending in the Wishing episode from last Season...interesting. Let's hope they tone down the silliness factor from this week. Sigh, we just need a good, old fashioned case!

This one looks good. And it's serious cause it's the one in the clip with the half demon child that Castiel wants to kill. At least I think it is...

That was too funny! I loved the whole bit with the Tooth Fairy too...Sam's description. That was hysterical.
Good point on Cas...this should be interesting.

Re: Season Five - Episode 6 - I beleive that Children are our Future
Ok, I really enjoyed this one. It started out funny, gross but funny then halfway through went serious. And the transition was really good.
On the funny side, the tooth fariy. Oh man I was cringing when he pulled the teeth! And Dean.... oh my God I laughed when he showed Sam his hand. Jeez Dean, whacking off????
On the serious side, I felt for Sam when he was talking to the kid, asking him to make the right decision. Interesting ending too, I wonder if the kid will make an appearance later on in the series. All in all a great episode.

Re: Season Five - Episode 6 - I beleive that Children are our Future
LOVED this episode!!
It was much better than I anticipated. I was laughing out loud through the whole first half. Felt a lot more like the old Sam and Dean.
The hair on the palm...that was hysterical! I almost rolled off my bed! And Sam's reaction was even better. "Do NOT use my razor!"
Do not even get me started on the teeth...as if pulling out fingernails wasn't bad enough...cripes!!
The second half was intriguing...I wanted to slap Cas when Jared was making his case for Jesse making the right decision and he said "Well you didn't." Geeze, Cas!
And when they were explaining everything to Jesse...oh man, the look on Jared's face...my heart was just breaking for Sam. Poor guy! He really needs to stop beating up on himself.
All in all, I thought it was a great episode.

I don't think Cas likes Sam very much.

I don't think he understands him. He doesn't get the whole human thing...feelings and all...and it's so much a part of Sam and Dean. I actually like that fact, though...makes the whole angel side of things very interesting.

I think Sam's intentions have always been good, but his choices haven't been. But that as it should be...that's the human factor, which is an important part of the overall mythology.
This episode really made you feel for Sam and Jared totally nailed it.
