Season Five - Episode Eight - Changing Channels
“Changing Channels,” airs Nov. 5:
"When Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) find themselves living their lives on what appear to be TV shows, it makes for a whole new style of reality television and they wonder if the Trickster (guest star Richard Speight, Jr.) is to blame. From a sitcom to a soapy hospital drama to a Japanese game show to a crime procedural, each new experience they encounter is more bizarre than the next and they want out. But is the Trickster really the mastermind behind the madness?

I think he is. I'm pretty sure I saw him in the 'Soon' preview.

Yep...that's him in the third photo with Sam and Dean.
This looks like a bizarre episode, but it will be worth it just to see Sam and Dean in scrubs...yum!

Aha...sounds like the Trickster is trying to get the boys to say yes. Fat chance of that...the archangels and Lucifer couldn't, he's not about to. Sounds like this should be a good one!

Ok, I didn't care for the 'humor' side of this one. In fact I was really, really getting bored with it. And then they just spun it around and made it suspenseful. The second half with the Trickster was great, as was the ending. And NO, I still don't think either one of them is going to give in and say 'Yes'.

It was good. I did love the spoof on Nightrider. When Dean was in the trunk and Sam said "Um Dean, that's really making me uncomfortable..." I cracked up.

I'm with you on this one...I thought the humor was overdone, though I did get a kick out of Jared's David Caruso imitation in the CSI spoof...that was too funny!
And yeah, the Knight Rider spoof was the best of the bunch. That whole sequence was hysterical!
Loved the twist with the Trickster. I didn't see that coming at all, but it was a definite SN touch. And with Dean's challenge to him about standing up to his brothers, it throws another possibility in the works for how to end the whole thing. Just like Kripke to keep us guessing.
No, I don't think either of them will say yes either. There's just no upside to it and besides...they've never really been comfortable fighting with each other, so they'd never actually CHOOSE to do it.
The very ending bugged me though. It was like the writers just ran out of ideas. Cas didn't even say anything! I was expecting him to add his two cents in when he showed back up, but nothing. They just got in the car and drove off...that was weird.
Not my favorite episode, but I did like how it furthured the overall story arc. Can't wait to see what happens next!
