Season Five - Episode 9 - The REAL Ghostbusters
Super fan Becky (guest star Emily Perkins) uses Chuck’s (guest star Chuck Benedict) phone to trick Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) into attending a Supernatural fan convention, complete with fans dressed up as Sam and Dean. One of the activities is a live action role playing game, but things quickly turn sour after a real ghost appears on the scene. Posted on SPNsite. Jim Conway directed the episode with teleplay by Eric Kripke and story by Nancy Weiner

I don't think it does Moonie. The theme to this one is the fan 'Becky' tricks them into coming to a convention. I think they got the title because while they are there they encounter a real ghost and have to stop it.
As for the silliness I think this may be the last one of that kind. I know Episode 10 is rumored to be really, really, heavy.

It wasn't nearly as good as I had hoped. I was pretty disappointed in fact. It had some funny lines but just seemed to miss the mark. I agree though Moonie, I did like the ending. It had me wondering if when fake 'Dean' told real 'Dean' that most people would kill to have their lives and a brother that would die for you, if it made Dean realize something.
Next week looks good that's for sure. But then we have a whole month and a half of NO SUPERNATURAL!!!!

I actually thought it was better than I expected. Some of the fan stuff was over the top, but not as much as I'd anticipated. I actually found myself feeling sorry for the guys for having people make a joke out of their lives so when Dean actually blew his top and said that, it got to me.
I did like the actual case underneath...thought that was cool. And I got a kick out of Chuck going after the ghost.
The ending was really good. And yeah, bec, I do think that the "fake" Dean got through to the "real" one...I think that's what real Dean's smile was all about there. That was definitely cool.
Next week looks interesting. As for the month and half break...hang in there, sis, we'll survive...gulp...somehow.
