Goldeneye
Hey guys,
First off, thank you for the calls and correspondence. It means a lot, especially when you can't do anything besides eat and sleep. I really miss all of you.
The Doctors diagnosed me with blunt eye trauma (shocker!), minor injuries to the retina, and a gross hyphema (pool of blood between the iris and cornea). Their prescription - strict bed-rest for a week. Wasn't even allowed to watch TV.
As of now, things are going very well. My eye is healing fast. I just have some dried blood and swelling. I was cleared to move around last Thursday, and drive Sunday. Still can't exercise, lift anything, or run yet. Basically can't increase pressure or blood flow to my head. Reading is a little difficult. They say another week or two.
It looks like I'll make a full recovery. Unfortunately, this is the second trauma to the same eye. I was in a car accident last October. The doctor's asked me to seriously consider quitting contact sports. I have another appointment Thursday. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks again. I hope to return soon.
