Liberty Classic
Are we wearing full uni's tomorrow or do we need to provide our own shorts/socks again?

Re: Liberty Classic
Another question...
Anyone know what the schedule is going to be? I want to get an idea because I have to be at the Greyhound Terminal by 2:30.

Re: Liberty Classic
Ryan,
I would assume we would be in the full unis since we should look good in front of a visiting team. but i would advise bringing shorts in socks just in case we dont have them on hand.
Brian,
Get to the field by 9am. first match is scheduled for 10am we are planning for championship to end some time around 3. Come for as long as you can stay.

Re: Liberty Classic
Go the Bens' - great stuff boys! Keeping the cub here in Philly! The day was a great start to what is sure to become a focal point to every season for the EAFL and beyond. The folks that pulled it all together did a great job, the friends that worked the grill and coolers, the effort on the ground, the teamwork around the field for umpiring - all awesome. It is the mark of a true team the people take the time to support eachother even when they are not playing. The guys who stuck around all day to break down the ground and offer support for the last match were awesome - that is team work.
Great job - this club is headed for great things and this season is a step in a good direction.

Re: Liberty Classic
Good on the Bennis for winning the Liberty Cup. I was extremely delighted to see that they were playing in the Grand Final as my bus zoomed passed FDR on 95 and I saw the Crows jumpers out there (as I politely explained to the nine-year old across from me who exclaimed to his mother upon seeing you guys, "look, ma! They're playing soccer!" that they were, in fact, playing horsehoes) and even more glad that y'all were able to pull it off. I'm sorry I couldn't stay until the end, but I'm glad I was able to help.
The BWE's write-up of the game, if you've not seen it, is here.

Re: Liberty Classic
Well said Ryan,
Thanks to everyone that pitched in, the ladies on the grill, the guys helping set up the and break down the field, boundry runners and umpires.
Knowing that we have 100% support from each and every Hawk is a great feeling and makes me feel confident that we can put together a bigger and better event each and every year.
So thanks again to everyone that was part of a great day of footy. And way to go Bens on a job well done! Not just the bens but the entire hawks organization should be proud of themselves. Lets keep this momentum going throughout the entire year!
-Mike

Re: Liberty Classic
Great effort by the Bens to tough it out and win the final, after that team had won comfortably in the first game. WAs especially good since you had to play 2 in a row at the end (I think?!).
Will also make the Wiz's win more meritorious when we trash you in the next metro.
