Stonehedge Publishing
This is where I got my first releases, and where I now act as submissions editor. We started out very small, only five books pubbed. We will launch three books in the next two weeks to give you an idea about growth. An on-site store is in the works as soon as I find a good tech, and negotiations with books stores have already started with an eye toward a print release.
We pride ourselves on giving more authors the opportunity to get their book on the market and a following started.
Check us out ...

Interesting. I'll have to look into that in depth later. Thanks for posting the link!

Looks very interesting. Please do tell me, are you picky about the genres you publish? Because one person I emailed I still haven't gotten an answer from, and this looks like a good possibility. My book(s) are still a long way from complete, but you should always think ahead.
If you're willing to publish fantasy (preferrably sci-fi too) I can send my sample excerpt of the lastest write-up of my story along with the plot outline.

Re: Stonehedge Publishing
Actually, we started the company because we thought more writers should have the chance to get pubbed. We pride ourselves on signing authors, not projects. If I like the writer, I will kick my a** helping make their ms ready for the market. We believe in people, imagination, and expression. Not genre prejudice and pigeon-hole mentality. We also refuse the industry practice of saying, "Yes, we want the book, but you have to change ..." We never ask for butchered copy. No name changes, scene cuts or character manipulation. Only cosmetic and structural edits might occur. And, unlike other publishers, we give the author final approval.
My books would make most editors faint. Charles kind of went, "Hmm. Things have changed since my generation. I think this will sell some books."
My first erotic historical, TAKEN, became a BooksOnboard bestseller a week out of the gate.
If you wish to speak to one of our authors, PM me, or contact me through this address.

Please reference this in the subject line. I would happily arrange an email correspondence that you may hear their experience and feelings about being a part of the SP family.

*drools*
No... butchered... copies...
I'm hooked!
(Let's just say I had some bad experiences with teachers at primary and my stories. Not these ones, ones specifically for school. They always said I would thank them, the final copy would be much better than the first...
They were wrong, IMHO.)
