Grrrr, my haircolor!!

I color my hair, it's a light blonde shade and they have discontinued my color (several months ago) so I've been trying to find something that I like and I can't.

Well today I colored my hair and it turned out really bad. The shade is too light and it's an ash blonde so it now looks grayish green in some places! emoticon

I'm a retired hairdresser so I know about color correction and all but it just makes me so mad when you get to like a shade and then they discontinue it.

Just needed to vent is all.

I guess I better get to the store tomorrow (wearing a HAT) and find a shade to correct it.

The only thing that i have used on my hair to color it- is SUN IN- and normally it's when i go to the beach- well, not this year- i have so many compliments on my hair- i wear it real short- and i have this one spot of gray right in the front. does the gray bother me- NOPE- for 6-9 months i didnt' have hair due to chemo= so any color of hair is fine with me- and any bad hair day is good when you remember the days you didnt' have hair.

You are so right Bo, we do take so much for granted and it sometimes takes something drastic like that to happen to us to make us appreciate what we do have. Thanks for reminding me that I at least have hair on my head! I'm very grateful for that! And I'm glad you have yours back too. :sorry

Now, don't get me started on Sun In! I can remember that product ruining a lot of hair back when I was in the business! Or was it just the combination of the Sun, the Sun-In and Chlorine? I think that had to be it!

I know what you mean. They discontinue my lipsticks all the time. I am very pale and don't like artificial looking colours. I finally find something that looks like natural lip colour (only a teeny bit darker, like the colour my lips were as a kid) and they ALL get discontinued. Lipstick is kind of expensive to buy half a dozen tubes trying to find the one you really like, then its off the market in less than a year. I think they do it on purpose.

That's when I like to get it when it's on sale, and buy like six tubes at a time so I know I'll at least have it for a wee bit before they find something to replace it that's hideous!

Naw, I know what you mean Magic Prince, but you're a guy right? Women think a little differently that's all. It's so true that what counts is what's in your heart but most women think that the package has to look good too.

I do appreciate what I have even though I haven't seen my natural haircolor for at least 25 years. I think that someday I'll quit worrying about it and let the natural color and gray hairs grow out.......but not today!

Try going to Walgreens for makeup, you can return makeup there. But boy do I hate that too, except mine is nail polish colors.
