I've been where you gals are. I was so busy as a stay at home mom that I met myself coming and going, Brownies, then Scouts, volunteer at school, community affairs. And the taxi thing with the kids, wow, here..there, everywhere.
But guess what, when I turned 40, I knew something had to give. It was change things or get a divorce. My husband was a good provider, but he house and children were my responsibility. I decided enough was enough. So I went to college. It saved my sanity and my marriage.
My youngest was 12 at the time, and old enough to fend for himself till I got home. I quit all my volunteer work and concentrated on me. I was very exciting and I would do it again.
I think many of us get involved in things like Scouts, etc., because we have so much more to give than just making peanut butter sandwiches and changing sheets and we need an outlet. For me, it was school.
I know this thread was started last year, but I hope you are doing well Starz.
