Finally something ticked me off!
I try to be happy - especially at this time of the year. I extend extra courtesies to people, smile more, and force myself to be more patient.
But there are some people whom I'd like to slap upside the freakin head! I was in a store today shopping for some toys for the grandkids and there was a rude woman who was apparently doing the same. At one point she grabbed the boxed toy I was holding and said, "Let me see that! I think that would be nice for my grandson!"
What???  excuse me? I was HOLDING it in MY hand! I was reminded of Candid Camera, or the newer versions of similar shows like Punked. That's what it was like because I didn't think anyone could be that rude.
The whole time she is talking and talking and saying the most meaningless drivel - and doing it LOUDLY! I was so embarrassed for her. I ended up leaving the area completely just to get away from her.
I went back to get the toy later.
I just needed to get that off my chest. I hope she has a Merry Christmas!

People's nerve amazes me.
I had a reader on AFF email me to say my writing belonged to the readers. And, if I had any decency, I would break all my contracts so I could give it all to them. And, (get this) never accept any money for my work.

Of course. ;)
I bet if someone told them they wouldn't get a paycheck for two periods, they'd flip. But, I should think of the greater good. Or... some crap. :)
