Me, daughter, and grandkids

Image

This was taken 2 weeks ago at a restaurant. My daughter was visiting from Florida. Those aren't her children, she doesn't have kids, they are my step-son's kids. This was the first time in many years that the grandkids got to spend some time with their aunt and they really enjoyed her.

Thanks! Yes, my daughter looks like me when I was a Young-un! emoticon Well at least in the face that is, luckily she didn't inherit the body type, for that she takes after her dad's side who are tall and slender. My side is short and fat. She got lucky there! emoticon

Why is it that women have a personal and critical assumption that they are always overweight?

Oh! By the way Val. We were in your area last week, Saltsburg, Sardis ect. We used to come thru Apollo But now we travel by way of Punksyatawny to route 110 and 156 I think are the route numbers. Right past the power company, Those dump trucks going in and out of the power plant are a bit frightening.

Cool Bummy! Hi!

Funny that you mentioned traveling those roads since me and hubby went to DuBois for 4 days (just got back on Aug 1) and we traveled on Rt. 56 to Rt. 210, then to 119 and 219. Probably the same roads you were on!

Yeah, I hear you about those dump trucks full of coal! Yikes.

Lu Ann and I have made the trip to sardis about once or twice a year for the last 25 years. Just for fun we might take different routes thru Pennsylvania. The milage difference was never more then 25 no matter which way we went But the scenery was very much different . At one time I worked at a farm close to Brookville. Interstate 80 was just in the planning stages. That hiway cut right thru the farm where I worked. The owner was about 27 years old and had high hopes for the farm which had belonged to his Grandfather,

The highway spoiled all his dreams. We made a couple or three detours past the place. We could see where he had put in a golden guernsey milk outlet. (he had told me about his plans for that outlet many years earlier). A couple years later the milk outlet was gone. The changes were so fast in that area.

For some, it is what it is. I think I am fat. I weight 180.

I do think Bummy's right though, even when I was at my perfect weight I thought I was fat. It's our society, the way it views women and is critical of every tiny flaw. Well, maybe I should say....... it's all MEN'S fault? emoticon Yeah, you heard me....
