The Policies Of "Change"
As the dems saying they will do something changes to not doing what they said they would.
quote: "I'll tell you my impression, we really in this last election - when I say we, the Democrats - I think pushed it as far as we can, the envelope. We didn't say it, but we implied it, if we won the congressional elections, we could stop the war. Now anybody who is a good student of government would know that wasn't true. But you know the temptation to want to win back the Congress, we sort of stretched the facts, and people ate it up."
-- Paul Kanjorski (D-Penn)
Obama has been following that very same process.
He makes policy statements during the primary that are totally altered for his campaign run.
Wouldn't it be interesting if, because of what Obama has done since Hillary gave in, if the convention actually selects Hillary as the dem nominee.
Boy, wouldn't that be a wrench in the works...

ck - have you ever heard of having a viable, effective majority? The Dems hoped to gain a larger majority than they got in 2006. The slight majority in the House is trumped by the near split of power in the Senate. Many bills passed the House...bills that were part of that promise of change, only to then be stalled or killed in the Senate because of the 51/49 majority (or whatever the numbers are) aren't enough to override the Republican veto.
THAT, my friend, is going to change big time with Obama as President and even more Dem wins in the House and Senate in 2008.
Brace yourself, ck. The neocon experiment is over. Praise the Lord.

In other words, all your opposition to Republicans has been a facade.
You would accept the very same corruption and chicanery, as long as a D followed the name.

Give it a rest, tweedle-dum and dumber.

Ck that make no sense.
Do you not grasp the fact that yes, we gained a viable majority in the House but not the Senate, along with an opposing, vetoing President?
What about that is so hard for you to understand? Do obvious facts elude you, or are you just deluded?

Makes plenty of sense, steveatl.
You accept corruption as long as the corrupt have a "D" after their name.
Can't be much plainer for you than that. I'm sorry that Rutgers failed you so.

WHat does this have to do with corruption? It's about numbers. Did you take your meds today?

Too bad you ignored it the first time.
Of course, you'll ignore it again.
Or, maybe post an excited "yawn..."
