Are You Guys Feeling the Pain, Too?

Here's what I'm experiencing:

1. gas prices going up (car/home heating)
2. electric prices going up next month (power/AC)
3. water/sewer rates are going to rise the next four years (starting in July from $50 to $144 a month they say???)
4. property taxes keep rising yet my home value is dropping, city services lacking
5. food prices keep rising
6. traffic increasing
7. prices of goods keep rising
8. third year of unprecedented drought

Economy now tanking.

Isn't anyone concerned with what's going on here?

Yeah, but I'm into pain a little so I kinda get off on it.....lol...

You think it's bad now? wait for the pain in the pump to really catch up in every nook and cranny oil and gas prices affect!

We ain't seen nuthin yet and there isn't a damn thing Bush or congress is gonna be able to do about it...

I think we are looking at some major lifestyle changes...(or we should be, anyway--it's high time we free ourselves)

Move somewhere else.

I am wracked with such hearty guffaws that in addition to rolling to and fro on the floor, my posterior has separated itself from my body.

Maybe if the heartless pricks moved somewhere else instead, we wouldn't be in this predicament.

I vote that YOU move instead.

Yeah, move somewhere else. Where, ck? Where is anyone immune to all the problems? I can't move if I'm tied to a current job, you moron.

Most of it is "fueled" (pun intended) by rising energy costs, which is a worldwide problem. There is no where to move, even if it were practical.

To a degree, yes, I am feeling it. Particularly in the taxes department.

But, it can be mitigated.

Fuel costs are typically less in Texas.
My property taxes haven't changed in 8 years and my home has increased in value from $110k to $145k.
We had rain yesterday.

The magnitude of the problems steveatl described may be due to where he lives.

If he lived elsewhere, it may not be as bad.

I never claimed they would disappear.

But, those who want to complain will always find something.
