Joy, you have done a fantastic job here...
I just wanted to thank you again for providing this forum for us,....it does make work go by faster and more entertaining...
And I also wanted to personally apologize for being an agent in many of the dramas, melt downs,...and I wanted to apologize for running people off as well...
This board is far superior to myway and Excite...
it would be awesome if Bkofe to show up...
My only issue is libex of course...but it's your ship...and you're the Captain.

actually, no...libby is not the main source. at this point, the worst libby has done is stalk pep...his vile posts get deleted, and that's that. his over-the-top vicious posts get steel caged, and for the most part, no one responds to him unless he's being civil.
the main source of the conflict are those who cannot disagree with others without attacking and deriding them, as though they are the scum of the Earth to be expunged, instead of human beings like you and I who happen to disagree with you, for whatever reason.
you know who those people are, and for the life of me, I don't understand why those people can't just disagree without the vitriol. the vitriol, like in the case of libby, serves no purpose other than to decrease the level of respect others have, not for the object of derision, but for the derider.

pep this is not about ignore. you can't tell me that we're all so childish and silly that ignore makes a difference at all. everyone dealt with each other on myway...I know folks' ignore lists were short, because everyone used to address libby and muddy and whatever other nutcase when they felt like it, and didn't address them when they didn't feel like it.
if someone is over the top, confront them about it directly. you are definitely encouraged to do that...and perhaps additional steps need to be taken with those who prove themselves to be incapable of rationality.
it's not just I who have the responsibility to keep the level of discourse high...it's everyone's responsibility.
