* - the picture must be loaded to an image hosting site in order to for it to be seen. A list of websites that offer free image hosting can be found by clicking here.

Re: Upload Your Avatar (Personal Pic)
For those of you who don't understand the process.
Please keep in mind that I use Photobucket and therefore , the names of the various codes I offer you here are what Photobucket calls them and other website, such as Imageshack and Webshots, may call them other things. But it should be close to the same thing and you should be able to decipher it.
A "URL" is the physical address of a website/article/image/video or anything else on the internet. Everything on the internet has a URL address. It's the "HTTP://www.blahblahblah...." thing
(A) Got to a website, such as these:
Photobucket:
http://photobucket.com/?special_track=nav_logo
Imageshack:
http://www.imageshack.us/
Webshots:
http://www.webshots.com/
Sign up for a free account at any one of the three. Once you've signed up, there'll be instructions on each website as to how to upload photos. It's quite simple.
(B) Once your photos are uploaded, there will be an assortment of links for each photo (at least at Photobucket, there is an assortment).
(C) To upload a picture to a thread, you'll need the "Direct link". Copy it and then return to Polymath. In your reply, select the "Image" button, next to the "URL" button and paste the "Direct link" into the pop-up loader box. Then, when you select "Post", the picture will show up in the thread, in your post.
(D) To upload an avatar, you'll again need the "Direct link". Copy it and return to Polymath. At the top of the screen, look for "Control Panel". Once you've found it and selected it, look for "Change Miscellaneous settings". Once you've found that and selected it, the avatar box will be the first option. Simply paste your "Direct link" into that box, scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Save changes". Return to Polymath and your avatar will appearer. It might take minute for it to show up so be patient.
(E) To upload a photo in your "Signature" area, you'll need the "Image code (IMG code)". Copy it and return to Polymath. At the top of the screen, look for "Control Panel". Once you've found it and selected it, look for "Change Miscellaneous settings". Once you've found that and selected it, the "Signature" box will be the second option. Simply paste your "IMG code"" into that box, after any words you have in there and then, scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Save changes". Return to Polymath and your photo will appearer, in your signature. It might take minute for it to show up so be patient.
(F) If your image comes out too large or too small, you can edit (resize) the picture from the hosting site (Photbucket or whichever). You won't need to make any changes to the post you made here as it will automatically change the picture's size here, when you change it there.
(G) If you'd like to include an image from some other site, such as a picture in a news article, Simply right click on the picture you want and select "properties". In the pop-up "properties" block that comes up, there'll be a URL. Copy it and paste it here, just as you would one of your own pictures. HOWEVER, always remember that it is important that you credit the picture accordingly. All of the pictures in an article should be credit below them. Simply copy and paste that into your post, just below the "image code" that appears after you have entered the URL of the picture into the "Image" pop-up loader. This is important as these types of photos are copyrighted.
