In the morning I was watering my lawn while singing a song of devotion. After a time, I realized that I was not singing to the Lord, I was just singing words. Let's say I was devoted to my devotion.
It was dead on my part. But God is faithful and I trust it was His Spirit that made me aware of my need to seek Him. By God's grace Christian let's be devoted to the Lord- and seek Him. Let's pray.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love. Thank You for calling us to walk with You and to know You. Help us when we fall for being religious and not seeking to abide in You. We need You moment by moment. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Today's very great and precious promise
"If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'" (John 7:37-38)
We have God's Word on it.
