Sidestory 3: Sevaria's History
Sevaria, The Elder, hails from a small village called Kalm. He is 79 years old, and has no family remaining, for they were killed in an attack by barbarians in 52 BH. At that time, he was just 27 years old. When the barbarians attacked his home, he could only stand and watch them murder his parents and sister, just to pillage their food and valuables. This angered him, as it very well shoud. Once the barbarians moved on from the village, he ran upstairs and grabbed his father's sword and ran out in search of the ones who killed his family. You might be wondering why he waited for them tocompletely leave the village, and the answer is simple: there were quite a few people who were spared and he did not want to put any of them in danger again.
Many months passed, and he was almost ready to give up his search, until one cold winters night, he saw a camp in the darkness, with a ingle fire lighting the area. He ran towards it, hoping to find a place to rest and keep out of the cold, when he heard familiar voices. He realized almost immediately that these were the same voices he heard when his family was being killed, tis the barbarians! The anger he had been suppressing took him over completely and he ran into the camp, opening every tent and slaughtered every single one of the men, until he found the one who, with his bare hands, killed his family. Sevaria looked the man in the eyes, seemingly looking into his very soul. The man pulled out a sword and slashed at Sevaria, but was easily blocked, and with one fell swoop, Severia dug his sword through the man's heart, pulled him closer, and whispered, "May your soul be tormented through all eternity as mine has these long, lonely months of despair." And he pulled the sword out, the man dropped to the ground, dead.
With his revenge dealt, there was nowhere for Sevaria to go, so he became a nomad for several years, moving from village to village, never quite feeling at home, until one day, he came face to face with the gates of The Haven. He was greeted with friendly faces and respect, and was soon apart of the culture, telling his story of pain and revenge to the people who would listen. He soon became a top figure in The Haven, and when the Gods decreed that Haven needed rulers to keep the peace, a 62 year old Sevaria, was named the leader of the Judgements, whose name is obviously meant for them to be the final resolution to all matters. He gained the title of Sevaria The Elder, not only because he was the first to be named Judgement, but also because he was the oldest of the 6.
