Went swimming at the river today. Have pictures.

This is the swimming area we swam at, taken at different angles from the spot I was standing so you can kinda see the whole thing. Little bit of trivia, this is the same river the movie 'Deliverance' was filmed at...the swimming area here is a couple miles upstream from the nearest spot they shot the film.

We had to stop at the store on the way home, but Jon & I stayed in the car & I was goofing around with the camera, making an idiot of meself emoticon (ignore my awful river!hair & lack of makeup lol)

Well, we built a few sandcastles (one in the shape of a penis, one was boobs, and one was a pussy lol...which we promply stuck a stick in, of course. In retrospect, I wish we'd built a butt, but whatever), but the camera had already been taken back to the car, so we didn't get pics of them.

And it really wasn't all that cold. A bit chilly, especially when the flowing water brought about cold spots, but it was actually quite a bit warmer than when we went to the lake 2 weeks ago.

Not as fun as when we go to the lake, cause the swimming area at the lake is a ton better than the one at the river...plus, they let people play on the buoys at the lake, not so at the river. We've been yelled at several times for it in the past by the park rangers. PLUS, the lake isn't as deep as the river, and it slopes to deepness. The swimming area at the river is built up, it was man-made just for use as a swimming area. Less than a foot past the floating yellow buoy is a drop-off...the river there is over 80 ft deep.

I love the bouys at the lakes! Specially when its me and Braden, both tall bastards and him a fat ass, with a smaller person in the middle, thats always fun to *drown* them so to speak emoticon

LOL yeah, the weirdness in the car. I'm insane, I can't help it emoticon

That movie was meh. Nowhere near as bad as I thought it'd be. And it was really neat knowing that I've actually BEEN to the places you see in the movie.

Yeah, the buoys are great! Get 2 people on either side of you, all of you standing up, and have them both jump off at once, it'll launch you into the air!!

emoticon I just hate the icky moss **** that is underneith it, ugh!

The best we have here that I know of is in this very town a music video for MTV was made, showed our Main Street, even our comic book shop is in it emoticon We are pretty dead all around.

I heard Deliverence was a super scary movie or something, but the title kinda made me go Meh, its like a movie where yer oing to hell or something emoticon

On the underside of the buoys? Yeah, I hate that too. It was really bad at the lake in Texas we used to go to, but they keep them pretty cleaned off here.

SWEEEEEEEEET!! Yeah, I can pretty much assure you there was never an MTV thing shot here...only creepy crazed-hillbilly pseudo-horror films. emoticon

Yeah, I'd always heard that too, but it was REALLY not that bad. I mean, there was that one scene with the rape & stuff, and the rest of the flim they were trying to avoid those guys, but that was like, it. It was nothing.
