Re: Let us know your alive.
Okay it definitely sounds like she's acting out....her past experience with her mother's actions etc...is the root to her behavioral problems...She's is definitely striving for attention because she feels she didn't get this from her mother....the custody thing took her out of that life but she was still emotionally traumatized by the experience...
To me (I'm not a Shrink this is purely a non-professional opinion), it sounds like you have the situration at home covered..so now you've got to find a way to get the part-time teachers to re-inforce the same consequences for her actions as you do at home...but on how to get the school to take this kind of action is going to be a hard thing to do...because they tend to be non-co-operative in such matters.
Getting her tested for the possibility of the heridity thing is a good idea...and I'll keep my fingers crossed (and keep her in my prayers) that she doesn't have the same gene....
The Controling issues she is having may need to be addressed in a more professional manner as they are/can be the beginning of a cycle of being an abuser...sorry Avaren I hate having to say that but it is possible considering what you said about what happened with her mother and at the fostercare .... I've been in three marriages that my Ex was Abusive one was violent (extremely jealous etc...until it exploded in violence) one was a pure Sadist...and the third was Controlling --he had to be in charge...he said what we did, ate, who we talked to etc...and all three stemed from some form being abused as a child (in one case it was only one time before he was removed from the situation)....
Avaren, please don't misunderstand me...I'm not saying that is the case with your little girl...but it is a possiblitly and should be looked into as soon as possible...before it grows into something that is not easily solved/stopped.
Good Luck hon.

Re: Let us know your alive.
Ava, call your local Mental Health Department...they have Counselors, Therapists etc that work on a sliding scale or even Pro-Bona.
The key thing is that you get her started early enough to stop this behavorial problem from developing any furhter.
Ava our thoughts and prayers are with you in this/

Re: Let us know your alive.
Yes..give us his number (via PM)and we'll talk to him...I have two daughters that needed help --one got the help but the other (oldest) refused the help--mainly because she was in denial...and now she's suffering through being in a similar situation (mental abuse)..When a child is abused there are three ways he/she could go...become an Abuser him/herself, Deny that it ever happen and end up in relationships that are on the verge of being abusive...the last is become another victim to Domestic Violence (become another Abused person)...you're boyfriend needs to understand that we're not trying to say his daughter is crazy/nuts what ever...but she does have anger problems that need to be stopped now before they get out of control.

Re: Let us know your alive.
Free if you did that the child could possibly end up back with her mother/fostercare system and the same situation as before will occur....he needs to hear from people that have dealt with similar situations (and hopefully convince him what could happen later in his daughter's life)

Re: Let us know your alive.
I know Free and so was I...but seriously Ava if you think it will help I'll be happy to talk to him about this but remember he could be a bit sensitive concerning others knowing his personal business like this so telling him that you've talked to us about it will have to be a major judgement call on your part...you are the only one that can judge how he's going to react
Good Luck hon.
