WELSH FA AND BANGOR CITY DISGRACE!
BANGOR CITY FC: Bangor City FC were charged with a Disciplinary Offence as set out under FAW Rule 24.2.13 for the alleged encroachment on the pitch area by its supporters during the Welsh Cup Final match, Bangor City FC v Llanelli FC played on 4th May 2008. After carefully considering the written, verbal and DVD evidence submitted, a FAW Disciplinary Panel decided that Bangor City FC should be fined £10,000, of which £5,000 is to remain suspended up until the end of the 2008/2009 Season and be payable should a further charge of misconduct against the Club, as a result of an incident involving their supporters during this period, be found proven by a FAW Disciplinary/Appeals Panel. BANGOR CITY FC SECRETARY: Alun Griffiths, Secretary of Bangor City FC, was charged with a Disciplinary Offence as set out under FAW Rule 24.2.9 for his alleged improper conduct and/or alleged use of offensive or insulting language during the Welsh Cup Final match, Bangor City FC v Llanelli FC played on 4th May 2008. After carefully considering the written evidence submitted, the Disciplinary Panel decided that Alun Griffiths should be fined a total of £500, of which £250 is to remain suspended up until the end of the 2008/2009 Season and be payable should a further charge of misconduct against Alun Griffiths, as a result of an incident during this period, be found proven by a FAW Disciplinary/Appeals Panel. Tough one to call this one. Personally I think they got it about right.
Can't really hold the football club responsible for idiots coming on the pitch, but at the same time the keeper was hit/pushed and Legg says he was spat at by someone who made it all the way to the edge of the penalty box.
Unlike Port who identified their Racist chanter and banned him life, Bangor haven't helped themselves by not identifying the pitch invaders(it seems half of Bangor know who they are) and taking action themselves

Another fair and balanced comment about them down the road Craig.
If it had just been a pitch invasion then £10k is harsh, but the world and his wife (ok, 538 viewers on S4C) clearly saw acts of aggression by a very small minority of Bangor fans towards the opposition players. I agree with those Bangor fans who think the idiots should be named & shamed and forced to fork out the fine from their own pockets.
I love the conspiracy theorist on their site who blames Llanelli, Rhys Griffiths, John Hulse, Mother Theresa and Orville the Duck for the invasion.

boring fact of the day - keith harris supports chester city (he's the one), an oswestry fan alleges he saw one of the bangor idiots at their recent friendly (now if he can spot him, how come no-one at farrar road can!?)

Even if the fine is heavy for that offence it makes up for all the trouble their idiots have caused over the past few years. Serves the scum right,they never patrol their own fans just leave them to get upto mischief in the big games. I hope they get the other 5grand fine too.
