how about joining in - takes a day or two to register. Even if we're not drawn against them, it would be in both clubs' interest to have a friendly early June

Re: We're all off to Dublin in the black and the white
Whatever the KO, we should be safe (if we're away first weekend) in taking the early Saturday morning ferry out to Dublin arriving 6.30am and the Sunday evening ferry back - tho it could be tight if they went for a 7pm Sunday KO but that would be very unusual.
Here's the ground - very central http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=cy&q=bohemians+dublin&lr=lang_en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&resnum=1&ct=title

Re: We're all off to Dublin in the black and the white
Have used Issacs quite a few times. Good location, just around the corner from the bus station and not too far from the railway station.
I think you may have to stay two nights min there during the summer?
Have also used Jacobs, Globetrotters and the Marlborough. All with no problems.

Re: We're all off to Dublin in the black and the white
Avalon House nearby also good.
Got this mission from Mike - Find a pub in that area big enough for all to meet and where they'll let us hang the flags. Response so far from Bohs fans -
"On Pubs, Isaac Butts accross the road from Busaras is big enough not sure if they'd let you hang up flags though and there is often Live music there. Reades on the same street is biggish but fairly dull. Molloys on Talbot lane (just off Store st where Busaras is has the grumpiest barstaff in Dublin."

Re: We're all off to Dublin in the black and the white
I'm booked with 2 members of the Wrexham branch.
Flying over from Liverpool early Friday morning and then got a mad rush after the game to get the last flight back to Liverpool on the Saturday, to catch an early morning flight from Manchester to Greece the next day.
Tough stuff this jet setting

Info from their MB -
ioio wrote:
Any info about the big Gaelic Fooftball Final on in Dublin the same day ? What time ? How far from Croke Park is your stadium ?
Will city centre pubs be full all day then Saturday 21st ? Any large pub close to your ground ?
REPLY -
The Bohemian, Doyles and The Hut are all less than a minute's walk from our ground, also nearby are McGowans, Hedigans and Porterhouse North. plus there are three bars in Dalymount. You'll probably be entering from the other side of the ground to the club bars though.

Re: We're all off to Dublin in the black and the white
More info - which calls into question the rumour about a Gaelic-football final the same day
As far as I know there isn't a game in Croke park on the Saturday. From my limited knowledge of Gaelic Football and hurling there are no finals in croke park in June. A quick check of the GAA website and there is a game on the Sunday alright, a Leinster Semi-Final which should see a big crowd depending on whose in it. Think the draw is already predetermined and Dublin are not in that side of the draw so I'd presume it won't be a full house.
Croke park is just down the road so any big game there will affect Dalymount alright.
The 'trendiest' and largest pub is probably Porterhouse North although there are a few pubs right beside the ground but they aren't exactly trendy!
