Taking Nothing For Granted...
Like others, I often rummage around the various other drum sites for information, discussion and camaraderie.
But I always begin and end at the Rogers Forum. I'm constantly amazed and consistently inspired as I read the bits of news from fellow Rogers junkies about our addiction. New auctions, expensive drums, cheap deals, repair tips, insider news from years past and more.
Yes, the economy sucks as we head into another presidential election. We're in the dog days of summer and it's hot as hell out there as we leave for vacations and then come back to work.
But the Rogers Forum is always here, and I really like this place because of the people.
Thanks again, Jack for what you started. This is by far the best thing on the Internet.

Re: Taking Nothing For Granted...
Yeah...I tried going to other drum sites, but a lot of those sites are full of dudes who have gear lists at the bottom of every post saying that they use metal X cymbals, and such a such double pedal. I'm sure there is some useful info on some of those sites, but then there's a lot of arguing about so and sos cymbals being the best for Metal music... Put that all aside I think TK nailed the whole camaraderie thing!!! Along with all of the consistent flow of quality info, and people. Jack you the man!

Re: Taking Nothing For Granted...
This is a great place, by far, my favorite drum site. I do not have to spend days and days and days wishing for something Im interested in. I may not always post to every thread, but the interest is HERE, not someplace else.
Thank you Jack for making this happen.

Joining this forum changed my life! I have MORE drums than ever, and I keep lusting for more!haha
I never could have restored either kit w/o help from here.
I have been to the DFO,too much for my patience and attention level.
Being a history buff,I appreciate all the ROGERS info.
THANKS,JACK!!

Re: Taking Nothing For Granted...
Thank you all for the kind words. This Rogers Owners Forum has meant a lot to me. I was a member of the original ROF and watched it whither away so I said to myself "Self, why don't you see if you can get some response to a new ROF. It started real slow but it wasn't long before it came to life and much to my surprise we have a little over 200 members in a little over a year
In that time I've learned a lot about our beloved instrument, made some new friends and sadly lost one of my best friends, Bruce Felter, who knew as much about Rogers as anyone I know.
I haven't been as active as I'd like to be due to my sweet and lovely wife's unsolved medical problems. She's my lifes inspiration so she gets the most of my attention.
I'd like to thank all of our members for their input and their questions. I hope the interest remains strong and lasts a long time after I'm gone.
Jack
