9/72 Serial tags
My butcher block 12/13/16/22 still has two tags. Both say 9/72, and 60-5322. Serial numbers are B27197 and B29821.
From what I've read here (and just scratching the surface in this forum - whew!) the 9/72 tag ran about 3 years.
Is there a way to date these drums within that range?
Thanks, Alan

Re: 9/72 Serial tags
Never mind I figured it out thanks to my "Cook Book". They're from 1974.

Re: 9/72 Serial tags
Yep, and according to it, the 9/72 Serial tags were as follows:
1) 1972 No Alpha prefix to the serial number.
2) 1973 Alpha prefix added, 4 digit number follows.
3) 1974 Alpha prefix and 5 digit number follows.
4) 1975 Alpha Prefix, no line under the number.
Mine are in the B27xxx and B29xxx range. At least the two that didn't come off are.
Am I reading it correctly?
