Memriloc Cymbal Arm in tom tree?
Guys did they ever have a Memriloc Cymbal Arm that fit into the 3 tom mount tree? I saw on TK's kit that they have cymbal arms that go on a standard one inch pipe that fit into the reciever of the bass drum...P.S. If anyone has any of the cymbal arm mounts/parts for the bass reciever or, tom mount shoot me an email.

Yes it has drum key nuts, so something could have went in there and I think it was a cymbal rod. It might be nice for a splash, but other than that would be too close for my liking. I wonder if anyone has pics using it. These mems are very versitile. If you look up Rogerfanclub on the net, you'll see an old guy who built an octatree from them. All mems. Hes gotta be about 75. Standin there with a big ol grin too!

Don't know what Rogers-O is talking about here regarding "drum key nuts." But you can mate the cymbal arm clutch with a tom arm clutch and accomplish that.
If you bought a full XP8 Londoner 7 outfit, you'd have all the pieces to make whatever you'd want, as it came with the cymbal mount and two double tom stands with the tri-mount assemblies.
You really have to have these pieces in your hands to visualize the versatility.
Or, look at what John C did to his natural maple outfit in his posts elsewhere.

Just in front of the white cap theres 2 drum key sets screws. They wouldnt have put them there if they werent to be used for something.

Oh, of course, now I see what you're referring to. Yes Rogers put a plastic grommet in place that can be removed for a third tom or a cymbal, You'll need the correct arm, of course. The standard cymbal stand fits onto an arm arrangement that slips into the receiver on the bass drum. The tom arm can either hold a tom or the cymbal stand.
See my earlier post in Fullerton, "Memriloc Magic."

To be clear, one side of the ratchet is the arm for either a cymbal or tom (it's the same 1" pipe). The other side of the ratchet can be one of two items: a tri-mount arm or the 1" pipe that fits into the bass drum. Again see "Memriloc Magic" in the Fullerton section.

They also made a "v" shaped fixed double tom/accessory mount. It would hold two small toms, an 8 or 10, or a cymbal plus another accessory. In the auction section, there's a white XP8 set being sold with all kinds of goodies, including one of these v mounts.

The Mini Tom holder I think they called it. At one time I had 3 or 4 of those. Im sure theres some kind of bushing that one could use to achieve the right size to fit a cymbal stand section in this receiver hole.

Re: Memriloc Cymbal Arm in tom tree?
I found an old cymbal mount that fit great, but it vibrated,or maybe oscillated would be the right word. Anyhoo,it made a strange noise that could be heard on mic in da studio,so I took it off.
Now maybe as a tom addition,it would be great, but I put my 6" and 8" onna horizontal configuration. I think they are visable in the photos over on the pic page.
