Rogers Guy
Am I Less Of A Rogers Guy Because
I Own And Play A Set Of LS 5007 ?
I Didn't Realize Til This Forum That
They Were Even Imports
I Just Always Considerd Them
The Last Of The GOOD Rogers
Like I Said In My Introduction
My Uncle's Set Of Rogers Are What
Got Me Playing Drums I Was 5yrs Old
I Only Went To The Music Store
To By Heads
Saw Those New Drums Up In The Rafter Displays
Under Those Spotlights
And All I Saw Was
ROGERS!!
I Didn't Care Or Know They Were Imports(From Where?)
They Were Rogers And
That's All That Mattered
I've Played The Heck Out Of Them
Since 88
And They Keep Giving
I Also Own A 3pc Big R Kit From The 70's
24 Bass 13 Concert Tom And A Converted
15 Concert Tom To Floor Tom Has Both
Reciever And Legs
They"re Rough But Rogers
I Use These For My Practice Kit At Greg's
I Wish I Could Find And Afford To Collect Some
Of The Rogers Some Of You Gentlemen Own
Beautiful !!

Re: Rogers Guy
If I'm not mistaken these LS5007 Rogers were from Brook Mays. They owned the Rogers name and patents for some time. They made very good drums and they are imports, I believe Korea. Nothing wrong with your drums my friend.

Re: Rogers Guy
Maddad,my pawn shop Island imports brought me here.
The were very rough. I recieved only help and encouragement when fixing 'em up!
I have a new-found energy for LIFE due to my XP-8's
You love your ROGERS and they look and sound great. That's all that matters! They are still a quality drumset that anybody in their right mind would be proud to own!
What you are experiencing in ROGERS envy. See,you look at ALL these FREAKIN' INCEDIBLE drums. My eyeballs hurt for a week the first time I saw the "show us your sets" page. The only REAL cure is to spend $$$ like a junkie on ROGERS stuff. HAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!
Another addict!

Re: Rogers Guy
Gawd, I love this place!
You are so right, Rogerswd and Maddaddrummer. Rogers is as Rogers does.
Coming here makes all of us appreciate the finer things in life: Cuban cigars. Fine wine. The perfect martini. And a Swivo-Matic Jasper-shelled 3-ply 4 piece Rogers outfit w/wood snare in an acoustic jazz combo on a Friday night at midnight with your lady smiling from the audience in anticipation of the events to come after the gig...
Ya dig?
Yeah, baby!
