Don Stevenson of Moby Grape on Rogers Kit
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-r6eGG6Y-zs&NR=1
the rare singing drummer....crummy audio, great kit
Ya gotta give Mike Douglas alot of credit....he showcased plenty of the 70's bands....his Janis show is one of the classics......

Re: Don Stevenson of Moby Grape on Rogers Kit
I never paid Moby Grape much attention and now I wish I had. Some great picking going on and the drummer is good and I love that classic Rogers sound.

Re: Don Stevenson of Moby Grape on Rogers Kit
You can still get their self titled debut album on CD. It has some great stuff on it. On the original album cover Stevenson is giving the "high" sign with his middle finger. I believe they produced about 200 to 300 of those before they removed it. I still have one of the originals. The current CD cover shows it. Stevenson plays a mean shuffle on a few cuts. Quick hands.

Re: Don Stevenson of Moby Grape on Rogers Kit
Great video...the mix really sucked though. Check out their first album there's some really driving stuff there. The second album is a little more mellow and originally came packaged with a second LP called Grape Jam which was a recording of some studio jams with Al Kooper and Mike Bloomfield. Later Grape albums showed their move more into country-rock. They were well ahead of the Byrds, Poco, the Eagles, and the other imitators. If you haven't guessed I've been a fan for a while. I don't recall ever seeing a photo of them playing as the original band that Don wasn't playing Rogers drums.

Feck, awesome. You sound like Paul McCartney, and your band sounds like the Beatles!
