Thanks for all those Gary, I wonder what ever happened to "Beat Instrumental Monthly?"

Re: English Rogers being played.
Probably only of interest to me, but I really like this photo, very English 1960's. Came across it on the net. A Liverpool drummer called Dave Irving. A founder member of Supercharge, a 70s Liverpool group still going in Germany apparently.
"American musical instrument catalogues were killers and must have broken a few parents’ wallets. So after many a long argument with me mom(sorry Mom) I finally persuaded her to buy me my first kit at age 16. It was a hybrid from Frank Hessy's would you believe. A mixture of Broadway and Ajax drums with Krut (yes Krut) cymbals, and cost 21 quid. Yikes! I wish they cost that now. I banged away in the front room for hours....."
This is English Rogers in Mardi Gras. Look under the cupboard to the left. Mardi Gras snare.
Strange connections here. I grew up just a few miles from Dave. I auditioned for Supercharge in the late 70s (and they didn't want me ???????????!!!). I knew one or two of the people Dave mentions in his blog.
That is the exact same snare stand I have with my English Rogers. Can be sure now that they came with English Rogers.
