Re: 1983 - Craig Krampf
I see that Craig Krampf is in front of a Heritage set. Wonder if he endorsed one of these. He's the drummer on the cover of the 1979 XP8 catalog.

Re: 1983 - Craig Krampf
The double exposure/image catalog? I remember when that one first came out. I was a h.s. soph. I wish I'd bought an XP8 new back then!
I sure would like to have one of those catalogs. Anyone got an extra?
Kinda like what the older stuff does for the 1960s generation.

Re: 1983 - Craig Krampf
I have one from when I got my XP8s in 1980--sorry not for sale (catalog or drums!). You can find copies of catalogs on the internet. I will send you a link when I'm at my regular computer.

1983 - Craig Krampf
Craig didn't endorse any one particular drums set, just Rogers in general. He was very much a pleasure to work with.
He tells a story in Rob Cook's book about being invited in to test wood snare drums with Greg Perry, Roy Burns and Jim Ganduglia. Later (probably a year or two), he did the exact same thing with Dave Gordon and me. I'll never forget him hitting that drum with a THWACK and saying, "Yeah, sounds good." For me, it was a short drum lesson that I've carried over into my playing ever since.
