John will know for sure but I think those are XP8's and it would be the placement of the logo????

Gina Schock's Special Toms

1982: There was talk that the Rogers mounting tubes extending inside the drums was hindering the drum's resonance. Gina wanted toms without the tubes, so we sawed off the tube section of the mounting bracket (receiver) and did not drill the large hole in the shell. The mounting arms were also short. Those two rack toms in the picture are the only two we built that way. They are XP8's.

So did it make a big difference in the sound or resonance of the drum? Actually, no.

Side note: Those maple hoops on the black bass drum were stunning. That's an easy way to dress up just about any Rogers bass drum with a pearl finish.

I strongly agree with your statement about the maple hoops dressing up a black set. I love that contrast!
