1983 - Attaching Lugs
Workstation on final assembly where the lugs & Receivers were attached. Next person would put the heads on.
The lugs are zinc castings, and we used self-tapping screws (8-32 if I remember correctly). It was important to seat the screw snug against the shell so the washer wouldn't rattle. But not so tight as to strip the threads or crack the pearl. Looked easy until you read this, eh?
