Because Leo Fender was paranoid a fire would wipe out his business, he built a series of buildings separated by narrow alleys. Later, those alleys were covered and turned into usable space. Like this one.

The hoops you see were waiting to get painted in Renee's paint booth down at the far end.

There was a lot of sanding going on, so there was always dust like you see on the floor.

That is a very real concern with all the paint, glue, sawdust and dry wood around.

Refinish xp8 natural maple

Thank you for the quick reply. Now I know that if I refinish I need to do it all at one time so everything matches. That means to have all the drums I want in the set together when I do it. For example, a wood snare dyna, (I have the brass one) if thats what I want. Thanx again John, Have a great Easter!!!! daninflag

Dan, finding an XP10 wood Dyna will be difficult and expensive. They are more rare than the older script logo ones. What you could do is have Keller make a shell for you (along with that special size bass shell we talked about). You can use your existing hardware, except your snare lug screws might need to be longer due to the additional thickness of the wood shell. Then take all the pieces to the furniture guy for refinishing. You would have one helluva set, pal. A Londoner 7 in natural maple, refinished to perfection!
