T handle rods
Hi people , can someone tell me the correct dimensions for the Bass drum T rods? Did rogers vary the size of the bow tie part over the B & B era? The kit (62 Holiday), has a bit of a mixture. I believe the majority are correct, but if there are variations possible, it would be good to know.
I have put the kit together at present with modern sq head t rods as I was impatient to get it playable. It sounds great, as you would expect.

Re: T handle rods
Holidays take 4 5/8" rod length. The "bowties" are all the same.

Re: T handle rods
thanks for that, i guess the majority are correct. But 5 are different shaped bowties, slightly longer and slightly skinnier. If that makes sense. The overall length is the same. I will find somemore on ebay. But thought I should make sure there were no variations to be aware of. The slightly different ones could be be from another manufacturer, similar era.

Re: T handle rods
Yes, there were sight differences in the Bowtie handles. I believe the 'skinnier' units are earlier.

Re: T handle rods
Thanks Dan , that might explain why they look the same but different. I'll measure them accurately next week. I wonder when they transitioned?

Re: T handle rods
Hi Rogersoholic & Dan.
the bowties dimension's are as follows.
The Majority are
2" wide 1/2" fat, with two round crimp marks 3/16" in diameter, 4 5/8" long with 1 3/4" threaded.
Minority are 2 1/8" wide,7/16" fat, with two crimps top 1/8" round lower near the shaft 1/8" but elongated, 4 5/8" long with 2 1/8" threaded.
The kit is Cleveland Holiday, grey interior, B & B lugs , small and large washers, serial number is 32530.
I'm still figuring photobucket but the below addresses should work with a cut and paste
